Colin ( Seaforth72) contacted me asking about the differences between an EX1 and an EX2. Suspecting he had seen the auction, I confirmed with him that he had, and informed him that I was prepared to enter the realm of stupidity to get that item, as my rifle needed it. He volunteered to attend the auction and do the bidding for me. He even called me 3 or 4 minutes before it came up so I could live vicariously through the bidding.
The bidding was over in very short order, and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the item. He sent me a photo of it laying in the snow outside the auction house, claiming to be acclimatizing it for it's new life in Shilo. For those not from Canada, BC rarely drops below zero, while here in Shilo we have been dealing with constant -35 temps for the last while.
Of course, the hunt is not quite over. This cover is missing the rear steel aperture sight. Also, I think I am going to have to break some of the welds on the deactivated gun to get this new sight onto the existing top cover.
