All kinds of stuff has been, um, disposed of, into the Great Lakes and parts thereof. Saw a picture in one of the gun rags years ago that showed Chicago PD, I think it was, dumping hundreds of Trap Door rifles and carbines(slot machines too as I recall) into Lake Michigan. There's a part of Toronto Harbour that recreational divers are not permitted to dive as well.
