SLR L1A1
Was looking for an SLR to mount for a WO/Sgts mess presentation without spending lots on a DEAC (which you can't buy now easily even for Military displays) and came across this.
Amazing how the Japanese have captured the detail for this Airsoft rifle, and with the wood and all.......amazing

Impressive Gil,
Almost perfect in fact. These things are ideal for film work, display etc
-
Wow do you have a link as to where these can be found?
-
Looks pretty good, the mess would likely rather have this one anyway. Storage of actual weapons, even when they were deacs was always an issue. Worse back when deac wasn't standardized...

Bruce,
Here is the link, they are around £450 GBP here in the UK but look worth it, when you get bored you can scare the pigeons off the allotment
Made by ARES schroll down and look at the wood and plastic options and top covers

I can see where once hung on a wall it would be hard pressed to know the difference in the real deal. Looks like it will even take a bayonet. Also it's only 500g off in weight from the original. A fun backyard plinker that won't disturb the neighbors.

The battery is in the butt, with the plate on a swivel, allowing access, thats the majority of weight to bring it close to realism. I was after a broken one which they get from time to time at the importers I know, so waiting out for one to mount.
They do look really smart as a mess gift below as an example:

Shame we didn't have the software that does this, in the day for training practises, teaching as you rotated the rifle:

Gil you guys were probably like us and had the giant wooden mock up where the bullets were the size of a 40mm round:D I have a photo somewhere of me standing in formation where every one else has the normal M16A1 at port arms and I am on the end with the giant mock up.
