A bloke I know has offered me these two rifles; one is a '36 stamped K98, and the other a '44 stamped Yugo model. The pictures supplied are the ones he sent me; can anyone give me any advice as to whether they are worth purchasing? Thanks in advance, Rich

Almost anything is worth purchasing for the right price. That's part of the determining factor.
Yes, I think these are worth aquiring IF the price is right. They aren't high end collector rifles though. The 36 date rifle is a russian capture denoted by the X on the receiver and probably a mix of serial numbers. Usually the waffenampts are peened or obliterated. If you want them for shooters check the bores carefully. The Yugo looks like it might be a tad bit cleaner. I have a 237 code russian capture and a DOT 43. They are still historic rifles and in my opinion worthy of collecting. Salt Flat
