Just been messing around with a homemade photographic light box and decided to share the 1st image from it.

I'm no expert, but I'm going to say you need more diffusion inward from the edges. It is remarkable what really good lighting can do for a photo. The late Dr. Richard Stork took some very fine photos such as these.

Thanks for the guidance. The photos have been taken without any other light sources other than the overcast day coming in through the lounge window. I was just curious as to the effect the box had on the light for the photos. Once I have the lights/bulbs sorted it should make a difference. Nice pics of the rifle.
