modification to 22 rim fire
I have seen photos of the Enfield Pattern 1914 converted to 22 rim rifle which involves removing part of the top receiver ring and extensive bolt work.
I have a low numbered Springfield 1903 converted to use the 22 rim fire by having a barrel liner installed with an extension at the breech. Also bought a M2 bolt with the headspace adjustment. Can be very accurateAttachment 85756Attachment 85757
I did install an old Lyman 438 4x scope

1922 Springfield Parts needed
A Springfield Armory M1922MII .22 Cal came into the shop and is a very nice piece, 95%. Only requested work was cleanup and test firing. An easy one!!!
Anyway additional requestes were for a few missing parts.....three to be exact.
First is a 5rd clip...need original parkerized with M2 imprinte.
Second is the rear Peep. Need a Lyman 48 (C) or (B).
Third is a Butt plate. This one is a maybe as I believe this model had solid checkered butt plates without a trapdoor. Included a pic of his....with trapdoor. I'll replace if it is easy. Otherwise I'll forget it. He will buy a plate outright or Trade if it helps.Attachment 86098
