I am sitting atop a nice pile of .30-06 M72 Match and M118 7.62X51 Match.
Just for curiosity's sake, what is this stuff worth in unopened 20-round cardboard boxes?

if its M118LR, than I've seen it go for 30 to 40 a box. but if its not " LR " than Lt1 is right 15 / 20 bucks a box sounds right. the m72 and m118 shot ok but its a long way from real match ammo, but you do feel better when your ammo has "match" stamped on it. the brass does have good resale value also.
That's kind of what I figured...
I bought a few cans back when CMP was selling it. I still have a pretty good amount, and with ammo prices going nuts, I thought I'd ask. It seems that if I sold (or traded) I wouldn't come out ahead replacing it, so it stays in the corner.
Dale.
(ammo is the ONLY investment that is still appreciating in my portfolio)
Local shop sold me some Frankford Arsenal 30-06 NM ammunition for $20 per box late last year. I purchased some 1968 30-06 NM Lake City at the National Gun Day show earlier this month in Louisville for $15 per box. Depends on who is selling it I guess.
