I recently bought a very nice military Danish RB in 11.7 and after one range session, I determined it (me) needs a cheek pad. Any ideas of where to get one or a mod to a existing milsurp one? PS 6" 5 shot 100 yds! Chrono at 1135 avg.

You will either have to add something to your butt stock to build it up so you are comfortable in your shooting position. You can use wood like the Enfield No 4T or
a combination of leather and cork like the M1 rifle snipers. You could restock your rifle too.Attachment 93876
When I made the birdseys maple for my Ruger No 3 the cheek pad was already in
the stock design, My Hi Wall also has a high comb and when I made the stock for my Rem
Rolling Block, I also made a high comb
Thanks for the suggestion, but I really want to keep it totally Milsurp.....Ideally a proper cheek pad or perhaps a mod to a M1 Garand type to lace on.. I know this is a tall order! Guess I'll just have to make one that does not require a stock mod. Something generic that I can add to the height at the range.
Some of the Swedish M41 snipers and Mauser M98 snipers used in the vintage sniper matches at Camp Perry have "home made" cheek pads.
Yup, that's probably the route I'll take....sometjhing along the lines of a Garand type lace on.
