Does anyone know where to find a chart of post war gas cylinder lock screw codes?
I have one marked BS and would like to know what SA serial number range used this screw.

BS is a late SA gas plug. Commonly found on 6 million S/N rifles.
There is another plug marked S B or B S that is the early type, non-returning valve. That is a WWII plug.
Thanks for the links Mark, very informative,

Thanks Garandy,
The BS one I have is the spring, returning type. Is it exclusive to the 6 million serial numbers? Does it show up in late 5.9 rifles?
In an article by Scott Duff in spring 2001 GCA he states BS screw was used from 5,36x,xxx-6,09x,xxx. It was the most common screw used above serial number 5,93x,xxx
