Just bought a nice 1860 Army SN 115430 (1863 build). Not sure if it's still PC to ask for SRS help on the forum, but Colt Forum lists this SN as going to Co I, 3rd Michigan Vol Cavalry, but no ship date. Greatly appreciate any help...

Perfectly acceptable, I just don't have detailed info on the 1860...I was surprised I had anything. They'll be along shortly...
Any chance of a few pics?
Might get the attention of some of the collectors too...for your date of manufacture.
A few photos attached...all matching SNs...grips whittled out for a lanyard at some point in its history...looks like all new nipples.
Thanks for looking and for any help with SRS info.

Nice looking old revolver...
Agreed Jim, good honest Army with lots of history.
The typical marks where the previous military owners have hammered out the wedge in the field, no doubt after it had been murdered absolutely solid into position along with ground in dust etc

Looks like replacement nipples, did the previous owner shoot it?
If so, give it a really good clean and oil.
