Mate, for starters...the first part, a cocked rifle is to be treated as being loaded! Never handle a firearm with the action cocked unless you are pointing it downrange and in a position to fire it.
Other than that, it's great to see a young bloke out appreciating the old Lee Enfields. I enjoyed your enthusiasm, keep it up!
