Just got 2 cases from ammoman. Shipped quick and in good condition.
I read in a German language magazine some months ago that the Swiss stopped manufacture of the GP11 around 1992 on the grounds that the StGw90 had been issued to almost all their troops and that there were still millions of rounds of GP11 in various bunkers. I've seen European made 7.5 Swiss, amongst others Boxer primed Prvi Partizan.
I've got three (3) sealed cases of Swiss Military GP11 in the vault I've been meaning to get out and sell. I never shoot that caliber any longer...

GP11 is everywhere right now. I've seen '82, '83, and '84 dated packaging for $269 and up. I got a case for $300 delivered from Widener and another for $250 delivered from Midway, courtesy of a short-lived discount code.
Grab it up.
The Swiss army still uses 7.5x55mm ammo in their MGs so production will continue although quantity and price will be effected over time.
Ammoman has it on sale right now for $265 including shipping for 480 round case
Thanks Guys! Just ordered a case.
According to the latest issue of Schweizer Waffen-Magazin manufacture of the GP11 has re-started with the new batches being virtually identical to the old stuff. One million rounds have already been made this year.:)
On another site a Swiss man piped in that the Swiss still have around 170,000,000 GP11 cartridges on hand, though a lot of it is time expired. That is down form 700,000,000 that they had on hand in 1997.
If the time expired comment it correct, we can expect to see 1980s dated GP11 sold off onto the surplus market for years to come.
According to SWM the end of the supply was in sight and because of the concerns of various shooters it was decided to re-commence manufacture with a yearly target of 20 million rds, of which 18 million would be for Swiss needs. There was also mention of a sport variation with a softer jacket which RUAG has on offer.
