The photo I’ve just looked at shows 3.5 Tons, could you have missed the 3 in front of it? Are you looking at it on a phone? My phone sometimes auto adjusts photos and crops details others can see and I can’t.

It looks to me that it says 3.5 tons but the 5 is struck deeper.
Just aquired a enfield no 2 mk. 1. Condition is good , however the only markings on the right side of the receiver is a strange looking D I with a * after it and the word England. Nothing else. Can anyone give me some information as to a maker or origin. Thanks
Look closer at the D. It is an E and D super imposed for EnfielD.
What you have is an Enfield made No2 Mk1* (or 1/1) pistol
Biit of advice for you. If it's reliability you want, then that's the gun for you. But I advise against using it in any shooting competitions!!
