Hi Charlie, interesting pictures. I think I have seen the first one before. The stock looks like an I cut Winchester with an M8 rifle grenade launcher. Second pic type two BB low cut stock and bolo machete. She might be a partisan and part of the resistance. Last pic does looks like a rotary safety too me, and the POW'S have some pretty poor footwear.
I could never get the picture clarity I wanted, but if that is a rotary safety then it appears to be in a non-firing safe position.
Also, Iv'e seen the first picture before, but not the second to best of my recollection.
I magnified it to 400 % and it does look like a flip safety but then lowered it down to 200 and could then see it was part of the trigger guard that appeared to be the flip safety. Just above it was the push safety.
Looks like an adjustable sight on the last one. - Bob
Those Victory model .38s were very accurate. I have a VS model myself and refer to it as a radar gun. It shoots far better than I can! It was issued to a Navy pilot and the holster still bears the Lt.'s name.
