Hey all, from USA Maryland here. Browse from time to time for nick nacks :)
Afternoon all
New to the forum and just wanted to say hi!
I hope someone can point me in the right direction where to post as I have just bought another 22lr SMLE, my reason for buying is because it is scoped. I have not seen a scoped 22 SMLE and would therefore love some of your valuable knowledge. I have some pics to put up as soon as I know I'm in the right part of the forum.
Thanks
Hi all. thanks for the great site and wealth of information!
So, I started prepping what I have always assumed to be a post war sporter Lee Enfield No.4 MK1. Due to the apparent lack of marking or military stock....
But it has turned into more of an excavation, and I am hopping to get some feedback from the Enfield guys! I will do a more formal post shortly.
New here wanted to say hello.
Hello good people, I have been looking on this excellent forum and have read lots of interesting things. I presently have a 1916 Enfield No 1 Mk III* which I have rebuilt according to the information provided in Roger Wadham's book and please to say that so far with handloads of Hornady 174 FMJ with 2206H powder it's shooting well. My other Milsurp is a Carcano Fucile Corto from 1941. When purchased, this rifle was in poor condition and I have put work into getting it shooting better but it has a way to go yet. Handloads with Hornady's 0.267" projectiles helped but one serious horror emerged when I stripped the rifle and examined the recoil lug block: it sits at a slight angle to the barrel axis so recoil contact is small and off to one side. So, at the moment I am in the middle of fixing this without recourse to glass bedding because here in Australia rifles in the "as issued" class cannot be bedded so I have to fix the alignment problem somehow. Wish me luck good people and although I have some plans, if any of you have faced this dilemma before i would be grateful if you could tell me how you fixed it.
i got a question regarding purchasing parts for a Type 99 Arisaka rifle. It was passed down to me from my grandfather and i'd like to get it back to working order, I have the stock and barrel for it and would like to find a good company to get the parts needed for the rapair.
Hello good people, I have been learning form this forum for a little while now. I have a 1916 SMLE which has been rebuilt twice in Australia (Lithgow) and is now shooting well, I also have a Carcano Fucile Corto from 1941 which I have been working on to make shoot better.
I am in Australia.
Tim
Hi all, My primary interests are quality sporting arms, however, from time to time I find myself requiring a little research help with military arms of the past. Thanks for this quality web site, made possible by quality contributors!
:D I thought I'd check out a new web site ( to me ) and make my self known, I'm on Gunboards a lot and hope to do the same here and maybe buy and sell some guy stuff..
SO HERE I AM … and HI to everybody....
