This document is intended to illustrate the tools and techniques necessary to field strip and disassemble M14 rifle clones. Disassembly will cover everything except the trigger group disassembly, and small parts disassembly like the spindle valve in the gas cylinder and the cartridge clip guide on the receiver as well as the operating rod guide. These items rarely, if ever, need to be removed once installed by the factory or by a gunsmith.

If you own a particular specimen of any current entry, then please send us pics of it, even though they may be duplicate views of pieces you already see here. In that way, we can build up multiple sets of pics for several milsurps of the same model, which will help in identifying markings and authenticity.
