Is This Spare Parts Container an Original?

Evening guys. I posted a couple days ago about a new 1915 ‘03 I acquired recently. I have yet to receive any replies, but I wonder if this isn’t more interesting and my drum up more of a response...I found a spare parts container in the buttstock of the rifle! Not knowing what it was, I did a quick online search and discovered that original spare parts containers are rare and valuable. After asking the seller (vendor on gunbroker) if he knew anything about it, he replied that he did not know that it was in the rifle, but he wasn’t surprised as the rifle came from the estate of an “advanced collector”. It looks exactly like the ones that have sold on the internet for hundreds of dollars. What do you guys think? Is it the real deal? You should go through the tutorial for posting pics on the forum. Some won't go to the time of downloading a PDF just to look... Probably why you haven't had any replies yet.

Okay that makes sense. I was wondering if I had done something wrong. I read something on posting pictures but it must have been the wrong one. I’ll go find the one you’re talking about and give it a shot. Thanks!

I transfer the pictures directly from my computer to my post by using the "Manage Attachments" key followed by "Add files" and then "upload" (image). It may take a few minutes to upload the image sometimes but it should upload if you are patient. There are other ways of uploading pictures which you can use if you prefer but I haven't tried the alternatives. The process sounds more complicated than it actually is.

I can't be absolutely certain, but you appear to have an original spare parts container.

I would say yours is original. I used to make them and had a lot of experience with them. I used an original to go from and still have the tooling, I guess I need to go back into production.
