I’m not a collector but I do own an M1 Garand and a M1 Carbine that I purchased from Midway USA. I have learned a lot from this group already, thank you.

Good day all!
My name is Patrick Lowe & at present I live in the burning wasteland of the PNW. In my searches for information, this site has come up many times, all the questions asked were thoughtfully & respectfully answered. So it was a "no brainer" to make the leap & join.
I putter with a business called cdvs.us (Combat Disabled Veterans Supply), where I am the...wait for it....You guessed it, I AM the disabled part of that name. If you get the chance drop on by and see if they have anything interesting. Again, for me, it's a cool place to hang out, & be around stuff that I find cool. 99% of what they sell is MILSURP.

Good afternoon,
I have been collecting milsurps for about 18 years now. Hope to learn more here.
I'm Steve, from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I've fished and hunted on and on both sides of Allegheny Mountain in both Virginias, thus the name. I was a one center fire rifle deer hunter for more than 20 years, then I bought my first Pre-64 Model 70 3 years ago and started a small collection. Primarily interested in Winchesters, which I'm hunting with. I'm also a history buff, especially WW2. I'm interested in Lee-Enfields primarily at this point. Trying to educate myself and enjoy different perspectives.
......been involved with black powder shooting and historical reenactment since the early 90's. Through a longtime friend of over 40 years started going to NCOWS and GAF shoots which led to the purchase of an 1873 Trapdoor infantry rifle and a Colt SAA. Which then led to the purchase of an 1898 Krag. Hopefully in a couple weeks, I will finally have some brass to put some bullets together. See how that old antique shoots. Found this forum while looking for information on the old guns. My profile picture is a great uncle on my maternal grandmothers side. Haven't searched out his service record, yet.
