Found: Post 1905 Solid Hump Handguard (Springfield 1902)
I think I may have happened upon a post 1905 Solid Hump Handguard for the Springfield 1903. It has a crack and missing a bit of wood at the forward end both easy repairs (I have doner handguards). But don't know if this thing is real if it's not, I've only ever seen on in my life and it was mounted on the rifle.
I compared it to my High Hump and it doesn't look to be a cut down handguard. What do y'all think?

high hump 1903 hand guards
Your high hump looks original to me (but I am not an expert) the fixture slot inside is important too for identification. Also the early flat top high hump has be reproduced over the years (also the ram rod bayonet hand guard too).
I also have a high hump modified and shorten to fit and stamped with the S, still without hand guard clipsAttachment 102165Attachment 102166Attachment 102167 Top hand guard is Remington 1903 without fixture slot. Rod bayonet hand guard is old repro
