3rd Series Nagoya Found
New to Forum, but not to Type 99's. Rescued this 3rd Series Nagoya from a bubba at the Bremerton Washington Fun Show Last weekend. $240 OTD. Ground Mum. Missing Dust Cover, Cleaning rod, and Monopod. It is an all matching number rifle. Stock looks to have had an old sand on it. Sling is a repro I had hanging around. Bore 100% and chromed. No ring in chrome bolt face. No duffle bag cut. Comments Welcome..

Mohawk, Nice find! I've been trying to get over to that show but haven't made the grade. The Puyallup show just isn't as much fun as it used to be so I'm looking for new places. Looks like there 's still some neat things in Bremerton. Your 99 looks to be complete which is getting to be a rarity. I really like the fact that it is matching. I think a lot of Arisakas are broken down and the parts sold on EBAY. It kills me to think of some turkey (pipe wrench in hand) dissasembling a matchng with mum Arisaka so that he can make a few bucks on the parts. Salt Flat

Salt Flat,
Show in Centralia this weekend.(13th-14th). Much better than Puyallup or Bremerton. No membership...Carry in, buy as you like, Carry out...What a gunshow should be. Many Arisakas come through the door. I can't buy them all, but I try. Last month an all matching, Mummed Type 38 walked through the door. I appraised it at $500 and the guy sold it for $450. Had the original sling, cleaning rod, bright bore...Wish I had bought it, But a Nambu with an Original Rubberized canvas Holster walked by and I had to run the guy down. $700 later I wound up with the Nambu, an NCO Sword and a Rising Sun Flag..Kinda softened the Type 38 loss...Oh the Namba has 2 matching serial number mags and looks pretty decent. Working on a photo expose on it and will post sometime in the future...
