Sounds like an inspector's view mark.
I apologize if you do not see the image, inside the trigger guard there is the symbol of an L (first picture)

the trigger group on which it is mounted is of the Winchester in excellent condition, I have not found anything on books or on the internet

pictues do not work. As far as I know all WRA trigger guards are stamped WRA and drawing number. Springfield used letter codes on their guards at the end of WWII
I do not know why the images are not seen,
however inside the guard there is only one L marked and nothing else, I looked at a book but did not say anything about the other producers either
