1885 Remington Lee Magazine (.45-70)
Had one pulled apart to remove the large amount of grease inside- thought you would like a few pictures.
The magazine spring is probably the most space efficient I've ever seen! It gets out of the way as the mag is loaded:

And once again, there's no "complete" shot- there's definitely something wrong with me!:madsmile:
One detail that I think is a weakness: This mag is REALLY difficult to strip and re-assemble. I won't do it often...
Some additional info: pulled out of a USN contract rifle in .45-70. The rifle itself was cut down long ago and has the wrong sights, about no finish, and is missing it's extractor and extractor retainer. Bore's good though, so maybe one day it'll get running again- I really just bought it for the magazine!
