Interesting, he never had a issue with his apparently but it could just be the wear on the mags. I have heard the curved Bren mags were somewhat unreliable though, as it was designed for top feeding...

My dad always said the best part of being the C2 gunner was the 30rd mags and half the time they wouldn't give him the C2 but he would still have the 30rd mags on him for use in the C1.
