Hey all,
I recently (randomly) came upon this rifle listed as a 1917 refurb but found out its actually a very well travelled old broad: it was early enough to see great war service for the USA, has...
SO I did some digging and here's the unit history for the marking on the bayonet, they were a second-line unit that stayed at home during the great war.
2/6th (Renfrewshire) Battalion Territorial...

That makes sense, is anyone familiar with the bayonet's unit...
Haha sorry I didn't mean original issued I meant potentially originally in service with the same unit, but I guess if they were packed away separately there is really no telling.
Hi all, 'tubes here with my crown jewel that I'm hoping for y'all's opinion on: I have a winchester p-14 and bayonet that I came by as a pair some time ago, and its one of the only WW1 era firearms...
Well mainly I want to return it as much as possible to standard military configuration. Turns out the naval carbine barrel length is 23.5 inches which is exactly what I have right now so no snip snip...

Basically they negotiated a price with me, secured payment and then came up with excuses about why they couldn't send it. Its honestly embarrassing to see how obvious it was in hindsight, I just got...
Hi all, I know this probably is news to no one here but I got scammed on armslist last week, twice actually. I'm man enough to admit I screwed up and should have gone with my gut instead of chasing...
Hey, Thanks for the info! That would be awesome because rebarreling would make it not all original. I got the WOLF as part of the trade but I would never buy it. My current theory (until reading your...
Well after first shooting here's the report:
The good: It shoots like a laser: both winchester and federal factory loads ran great, no failures to feed, fire or eject and it hit a literal bullseye...
Cool thanks for the info! I can't help but wonder when she was used in WW2, time to do some research about where Indian regiments were deployed! I guess I'll keep searching for an RFI stamp because...
Hey all,
Long time reader, first time poster. I had the pleasure of purchasing my 1st enfield yesterday: A well worn but solid functioning No. 1 Mk. III* from 1942. I am thrilled because as far as I...
