Thanks. I am somewhat surprised there is no P proof on the pistol grip, or any other markings for that matter other than the S and O in the mag cutoff relief. Stock does not seem to have been sanded.

Left side of stock, a faint rectangular boxed cartouche is barely present with what looks like “AA P” not sure if there’s anything in the space between the AA and P. Can’t seem to find a cartouche...
I meant identifying it as an original A1. I figured it wasn’t a NM. :)
Is there any way to tell for sure?
Thanks

Picked this up on another forum. I’ve had a soft spot for pre war C stocks lately and this one is no exception. Bore looks great, however I have no gauges on hand. Will just have to take it out and...
I am not sure about the “P” but the SPG cartouche is a fake. Original cartouche is barely visible...Unfortunate.
I have a 1.4k Springfield 1903 enroute with a 9-32 barrel. It’s sitting in a pre war C stock, drawing # D-1836-4...handguard has drawing number as well. Don’t think that one will be touched. Will...
lol. Okay. Well I’ll enjoy my replica since I cannot afford a real one. Hopefully you don’t lose too much sleep over it.
Why is this always the mentality that ensues when one attempts to build a replica rifle?
Not sure of its origins. I bought it from a private sale.
You are correct, it is an Ohio SSN. Which just so happens to be where I am from, and where it was purchased from as well.
Picked this 1.4K Springfield 1903 up today for $200. Barrel ( S.A. 10-44) is mirror bright, looks brand new. Externally, its in pretty good shape with some minor surface rust that cleaned up no...
This one has a Lyman Super Targetspot in 10x on the way for it. Not CMP legal, but I like the look of them. I am looking for another pre war C stock for another bubba’d 1903 barreled action...
Just arrived today...I am happy to finally have a pre war C stock. However, unfortunately it does have a FAKE 'SA SPG' cartouche. This concern was relayed to me by a few gentlemen that are MUCH more...
Interesting, thank you. I found quite a few photos of the SPG cartouche, but they seemed to be a different variation. Your photo is the first I’ve seen that looks identical. Of course, I am a novice...
This was the cartouche in question. Was just wondering on it’s authencitiy. Saw it on eBay earlier. Auction is over now.

Thanks, and yes, not only do they seem sought after, but hard as hell to find....I have been looking for a pre war C stock for quite some time without luck....picked up a Northridge Int C stock, and...
Would an SA SPG cartouche be correct to find on a C stock for the 1903/a3?
Seems to be the only marking other than the P on pg.
Thanks
Stock came in. Here are some subpar photos I took with my iPhone at night with artificial lighting....Only part I am a bit disappointed in is the stock repair at the rear of the butt on the right...
Well I ended up ordering one....not cheap but, I’ve had a hell of a time trying to find an original issued C stock, and I have a project I need to get finished. Will post photos once it comes in!
Recently picked this one up, all matching 1953 Fazakerley No4 Mk2 with matching SN bayo and scabbard. Yes, I know at the time the sling was installed incorrectly, thats how I pulled it out of the...
I'll give them a call tomorrow. I check their website frequently and have never seen any listed, but maybe i'll get lucky!
Hello everyone, new here and am hoping to contribute to this fine forum :) , unfortunately my first post -is- a question, however.
Has anyone used one of the "NOS" C stocks being sold by...
