If it’s any consolation (it is to me) the bore is also toast. It would be pretty heartbreaking if the outside looked like this and the bore was pristine.
Would the stock still look this OK? It’s definitely not museum quality or anything but it’s not bad.

Not a project for me. It’s just too far gone, unfortunately. If it had come in better than the pictures showed, I’d probably hang on to it.
I did quite well on the other two guns...
A bit of Bondo and some spray paint would make it an OK mantle piece.
Poor thing! No gun deserves this treatment.
The wood is OK or else I’d say it was in a fire.
