I know it's Ed Klouser. What I can't find is when it was inspected. I can't find any info on when he was there or when it was inspected.
It's a puzzle and this is the group that will solve it.
The slider is nonmagnetic. It is brass, I can see it where the finish is worn. The stitched area at the clip is longer than normal. I don't know about the weave in the sling material.
Can anybody tell me anything about this sling? The slider is brass and it has no markings.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, can't post pic's at this time.
Thanks for the help, gentlemen.
Yes, it looks like it.
I have an 03A3 scant stock with "45" stamped under the butt plate and no other marking. Is it a manufacturing date?
QM standards are consistent in all armed forces.
SO a C1 will fit?
I'm looking for a frog for a No 9 bayonet. Will a Canadian C1 frog fit? One for a No 4 is to small and one for a 1907 is to big. The nomenclature on all these frogs makes my brain hurt.
I have a 1917 BSA MK III with serial number D83xxx. What does the "D" mean?
Thanks for the help. Better not to break things.
What is the best way to load a32 acp chamber insert in a MKIII? I don't want to break an ejector.
Thanks to all.
I got a shortened 1905 bayonet from CMP. On the side (looking at it with the relaese on the left) is AFH US 1943. On the other side is a faint UFH. The hilt has a serial number stamped on it.

Thanks for the info. Now for the stock stamps. I can't even tell the differences in types of stocks. I'm a newbe with Garands. Us truck drivers had M14's the grunts had M16's.
On my Garand barrel drawing number D35448-37 A116A and S-A-10-48.
ON the bolt 2827-12SA and RE6B
P (no circle) K and 1on stock.
What do they mean?
Thanks for all the info.. I think I'll go with a repo. OD3.
When did the Garand use a Khaki sling?
