Looks a very nice and honest rifle, I think the case is an American 1903 case, which look very similar to the British L42 case (in green).
Chosenman did an excellent article on them...

Delboy I know Roger can repair/ refurbish the scopes, he does an excellent job. Might be worth this time to refurbish the scope ready to do another 70 years service.
