Yep. Keep going. I have done a few now. The old wear and tear gives them some life.
My understanding is grooved = early. Some had some had not. Not particular to a model. Different makers. Different processes. I am new though and young. :)

Recently picked up an LSA/BSA comm conversion .22 IV*. It has a crossed quill metal pin (collar brass) of a yeoman pressed into the butt below the swivel. Just wondering if this rings a bell or not.
