It may happen quite naturally, but until you have cleaned out the barnacles and all those shots are in the 9 or 10, practice won't hurt! (But the recoil will!) BTW, the front sight on the one I tried...

If you practise a bit, you can sit the image of the standard 8" target black neatly in the foresight cut-out at 100 meters. Not the usual sight picture, but quite effective for target shooting.
