Interesting, Thank You.
What does the X mean on British, Canadian and Australian bayonets. I've read it's a "bend" inspection mark and also that it signifies the blade was taken out of service?
Thanks.
Got the stock done and all put back together. Looks pretty good and the steaming helped some of the dings but still have some dark spots in the deeper ones.
I've read the bayonet lug should...
Just thought be as quiet as posssible for as long as possible. lol
But yeah, I am sure that had to be a loud, chaotic time for both sides.
Just hard to imagine

I've seen discriptions of bayonets that identified the blade as a pioneer blade. It seems some have narrow fullers but I haven't been able to find a for sure definition of what a pioneer blade is. ...

I'll try to put some pics in. The stains remind me of hairspray on a mirror. Boy I sure hope no one tells me this is a fake.
I'm kinda new at this. So the bayonet in question is a cutdown 1905? Is the 1942 the date this was done? Also the UC and the UFH? Are those the makers and if so is one the original maker and the...
I have obtained an Eickhorn officers dagger with a what looks like a chrome blade. I suppose it could be bright nickel though. The finish is good except for some surface stains mid blade on both...

Just picked up a brass handled 1891 Argentine bayo. As I have found out is common the Argentine stamp is ground off. A shame as the rest of the blade is near perfect. What kind of steel did they...
Today I traded for an Italian bayonet. I've identified it as an M-1891. The blade is stamped TERNI with no rust. It is sharper than most bayonets seem to be but the edge still has blue on it. The...
I'll try to post a few pics of some things I picked up. Seems some things I read make me think they are all authentic and some things make me wonder. I did not give anywhere near the values the...
