The markings on the stock could be the 2nd Cav.Div. After consolidation in 1920,
Cav. units were amalgamated into larger units.
I would have to see the stock to be sure.

Interesting to note that at the same time these M-1 bolts were being made
1903 bolts with the same steel lot/heat lot codes were being manufactured.

The inspection stamp appears to be what is called an open box "SA".
Generally appear in post war rebuilds and re inspections.
"T" may or not be the inspector at SA.

D-35526 is an early "scant " stock part number.
"-4" is a modification of the original design .
John Beard would tell you it was as a result of Remington
requesting a wider cut out for the tail...

"AY" was the production identification for Ferro.
They also made a good number of parts for the M-1 rifle.
Most barrels were dated in 1956.

The SA Barrel in the first post is a real Star gauged barrel,minor point that

The markings below the clip latch on the frame leg
appear to be Yiddish.
Translation= "B/v" "S" and 'K/h"
equaling BSK.

Their is only one way ,actually to be sure.
You will have to disassemble the barrel from the receiver
and find the steel lot/Heat lot on the face of the receiver in question.
Their are safe lots...

The rifle you bought is a DCM sales rifle from 1929.

Sedgley provided barrels for the 1903 rifle under contract to the USMC.
The barrels were critically needed for repair of these rifles.
In my opinion,the early Sedgley barrels are not seen often....
