Can anyone point me to an exploded parts diagram (similar to the ones in the Numrich catalog) for a Model 1905 MKII? If there is one in the "Ross Rifle Story" book, I can't find it.

What do you think that stock was adapted from? It would be a difficult job no matter where you start. With the pistol grip, I assume it was either from a Model 93 or 98 Turk Mauser?

I was able to do a few more measurements on the barrel and front sight. It looks like the barrel was shortened to 24 inches, then a step was cut into the muzzle end of the barrel prior to remounting...

These rifles are relatively inexpensive compared to other US made rifles of the same vintage mostly because ammo is unavailable. I have no idea whether converting to 38 Super would work, but...

What I meant to say is that a larger bullet like 357 can be swaged down to 351 or 352 using one of these dies

Lee sells custom bullet sizing dies. You can order one in 351 or 352. That's what I did. It can be used for either cast or jacketed bullets.
