Here some pictures of the sling.
I can not find any markings on it. It's very worn with a lot of cracking.

I'm in the process of negotiating a deal on a garand and I didn't notice a manufacture on the leather sling. If the deal goes through, I'll post pictures of the sling to help with the ID.

Did the goverment make unmarked leather slings for use on the Garand and 03?
Or were they all marked?

My Uncle carried this one for 3 years.

They are post war D tip slings. Just was not sure which material was used first. The brass or steel after they switched from the C style tips.

I have 2 slings marked MRT one with black steel tip and the other is black brass tip.
Which one would be the earlier version or was the matirial based on the manufactor?
