Enjoy your new carbine. They are a ton of fun. Don't worry about the blue sky stamp.
CMP selling one or 2 every now and then, I'm surprised they've lasted this long. Pretty soon there won't be any more. Madness? Maybe, but they are what they are....
Both companies are very good.
APEX has a 3 pack....or recently did. Mk2, Mk3 and Mk5 parts kits. Mine is due to be delivered today. Hopefully they sent me a British Mk5 and not a Paki version.
Outstanding!
Pictures help. You might have better luck over on the Mossberg section at Rimfire Central. 2 threaded holes are for the mounting block the rear sight attaches to. If the block is missing, good luck...
Fair enough. Gotta stop looking at this site on my phone. Too small. :(
Too bad this got dumped in the gossip section. Hope the moderators reconsider this. It should be in the Garand section where it might actually do some good.

Just got 2 cases from ammoman. Shipped quick and in good condition.
More than I knew before!! Thanks!
Excellent, thank you!

There's a marking I can't seem to find info on...possibly missed in one of my...
Kind of the consensus I've been getting. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
Hi,
I'm looking at an M12 on gunbroker.....I'm not too concerned with overall condition, a good honest worn specimen is fine with me. I'm more concerned with fakes.
Here's the link...

Great article in the current Carbine Club newsletter. Great to hear firsthand from someone there.
Push button safeties were original. Later improvements resulted in flip safeties.
Some nice rifles on there.
Outstanding.
The best thing I have learned over the years....buy the rifle, not the story.
My grandfather left me an A2 when he passed away. I've had it for about 10 years or so. I love driving it, and if you respect the vehicle, be safe and drive carefully, it's a lot of fun. It's the...
Does a British proof mark add any value to an otherwise fairly regular Carbine? Just checking....
