    Anybody know what the scope mounting base was like for the 1915 SMLE for top mounting, over the breech, a Win A5 scope?

    Hi Pete,

    I think Jim has it nailed, the mounts need checking. Other than that the nos 32 reticle frame controls can be suspect giving limited movement, they are not the best design.
