This one is from my NPM purchased from CMP back in the carbine frenzy days.
Maybe NPM was not very particular with the quality of their stamps ?
Pretty sure they manufactured their own bolts in...

Don't remember anything about unusable barrels in the CMP...

They did come with PI marked adjustable rear sights. The rest of the story is I wanted at least one rifle to shoot that "looked " like it came from the factory without spending a bunch of money.
