You can't put pack wood you take off. I usually just hit it w/ 0000 steel wool to smooth it down.

The Muzzle Wear gauge is the same, but the Garand Throat Wear gauge doesn't work. You can use a M1903 throat gauge on the M1917.

I have a Century Int'l import that has been reblued after the stamp was applied. Whether Century did it or someone afterwards is open to conjecture.

Barrel is too late for the receiver, but I think you knew that already. At least your CAI hasn't been re-blued. Mine has been, either by CAI or that last owner. You taking yours to the next CMP match...

It should have an "E" at the tip, but the finger guard cuts and the relief around the bolt handle do not look like an Eddystone stock. Any photos of the stock tip?
