Looks like a couple of M76s in those photos.
The GI's division patch looks like it might be 20th Armored Division.
Here's another one from 1941.

I came across this photo while perusing the 1976 edition of "Jane's Infantry Weapons".
I'm guessing that the rifle is one of the 7.62mm versions of the No.4.

I wonder how far apart in time they were made.
I haven't taken the No.4 MK1* to the range in quite a while. I came up with a reason to get her out this summer.
I happened to find a Weaver V4.5 scope for a reasonable price. I also had an S&K...

I picked this up at a garage sale a few weeks ago. Just curious about how old it might be, and if the handles and hardware look original. Thanks.

Found this in the local gun shop a couple of weeks ago. It was a spur of the moment purchase. The price was too good to pass up. $199.00. Factory 636. Made circa 1972.

Wow. That rifle is really nice! Beautiful. Great find.
Thanks for the information. Yes, mag #1 is stamped SY-B. The pouch on the left was made by Tweedie Footwear Corporation, and is dated 12-20-56.
I picked these up yesterday. Don't have a carbine, but the price was too good to pass up.

I have added a repro...
