And may I ask if the stock has any markings?
Seeing the fit of the recoil plate makes me wonder if it's marked RSG or IR in the slingwell.

Got your Email.
Then made a Desk Top File to move them to.
I then used my ole friends tips on loading pictures to Milsurps.
May I suggest you read this and give it a try.

I don't recall ever handling a SG with that high of a Serial#

Thanks for clearing that up.
I believe it could be very possible, being that late in SG's production. Maybe a case of using up what was left in the parts bins (like the early barrel band)...
Most all good input from members spending their time researching and trying to help.
But at this point we still don't know if it's a SG or S'G' ?
Seems like the OP could follow up on that question...
