One of my all-time favorites.
Should have been easy. I met him once. Obvious after I cheated.
Looks like Lee Marvin?
Where is that and why has no one torn it down or at least defaced it? (Sarcasm off)
Are the colors correct for the service? Read somewhere USMC did not use green,
Perhaps is would be wise to ask someone else? Don't want you in the dog house.
Bonus recent finds. M15 French and a Bobby helmet. The M15 cleaned up well and actually has some blue hue but it does not show well in the photo. Had the device for the Bobby helmet for some time and...
Finally made time for photos.
One has a leather adjustment cord the other a shoelace type. I will research the numbers and try and post photos.
Found my birth year recently. Perhaps that will curb my enthusiasm. We will see.
Just bought a pair. One green one Kaki. Found a nice Navy device earlier for the Kaki one and scored a USMC device this weekend. Not certain if they are dated but the suspension is similar if not...

Woodsman's pal still has replacement leather disks.

I miss those guys. And their movies.
Not blessed with one of those. My motivation is number one being a good steward of the items I possess and number two, grease the skids to maximize return on "my children" to benefit my nieces and...
My contribution to the discussion.
Missed an Armalite once due to lack of knowledge. Early reddish-brown model price right.
Snooze you lose. Been looking for one ever since.
If you do a spreadsheet, you can insert a link in a column to photos of each item which would help the uninitiated or novice in identification of individual items. Tagging items is useful as well. ...
Only if you maintain good records with up-to-date values. In my experience that is the trick. Otherwise, the survivors are at the mercy of others that may or may not be reputable.
Spreadsheets are...
Nice work on the distressing of the finish. Looks "been there done that"
Good point but I think with that firepower God would have to handle the sorting.
