They were Aldis patterns 3 and 4.
Myself and 2 other forum members on Milsurps clubbed together to get M18/Ozzie Pattern 18 prism lenses made in the U.k for our own scopes requiring restoration/repair. The minimum order was for 5 to...
Tried set of 1915 Aldis P1 ocular lenses in a 1916 Aldis P4 and visa versa and there is no noticeable difference. I also measured the lenses and there are negligible dimensionable differences.
I will try a set of P1/P2 lenses in a P4 and let you know. I suspect though it was the different erector cell set up in early patterns that gave powers between 2.5 x to later 3x.
Enjoy, thought you'd post some pics of the reunion though.
You and your Engineer done an excellent job there.
I have seen quite a few sets of Canvas covers fitted to the Tel Stg 22c type scopes and I suspect that the set on E-Bay will turn out to be from one of those.
The scope case is correctly marked as No 8 Mk2 and refers only to the case Mk and not the Mk of its matching Mk 3 scope.
Wednesday & Thursday for me.

Well at least there's some interest, lets hope an owner with an original rubber eyepiece will take pity on us lesser mortals with scopes but without the eyepiece and help with the project.

Is there anybody who is currently or has previously made a replica of the rubber eyepiece?
If no, how many scope owners would be interested in a replica?
