Looking for a 75mm tank shell
I have a Garand that needs serviced. I live in SoCal. Anyone know of a reputable smith?
Thanks
I would like to get my hands on one of these. Any suggestions? Gunbroker? IMA?
Amazing
Thanks
I purchased a new reproduction finger groove stock for my m1903 from Sarco and while the stock is nice, it is not a 'drop-in' by any means. Action does not fit and the buttplate screws from the...
Will do...thank you
What is best to stain a
CMP stock blank?
I am not sure...since I cant seem to find a diagram large enough to be seen without a microscope. It's definetly not the rear guard screw. This screw goes down from the top thru the metal of the...
yeah...the screw was not on that schematic/parts list
you have a website for Gunparts Corps? Is that Numrich? I already tried Numrich and the schematic is too small for me to make anything out.
Is there a schematic or parts list that shows you what each screw is called and where it goes? The one on Numrich is microscopic and I cannot tell with my old eyes. I am looking for what screw goes...
Anyone recommend some good .30-06 for putting through the M1917? I tried the CMP Greek surplus, but it seems to generate too much pressure making extraction of spent casing difficult.
it's actually the 1/2 inch wide metal band that's about halfway down the wood stock.
roger that...
I lost the screw that tightens the band where the front sling swivel attaches. anyone know the nomenclature of ths screw? Sarco sells three or four different screws.
chuck - you will have it as soon as I get the $$. i emailed you from my work email last week (Randy Wells).
can't get a pic of bolt face, because I cannot retract the bolt from chamber.
i can lift the bolt handle. Not extracting (sorry). what would cause this so I don't repeat this hassle?
Took my M1917 to the range today for the first time. Loaded five .30-06 rounds (Greek CMP surplus) and fired one downrange. Then, couldn't retract bolt to eject spent case and chamber next round. Can...
wow! incredible that it has to be so hard to get it out. no wonder Universal went belly up on making and selling carbines.
phil - no, the weapon will go into battery...just will not cycle or fire. good point on turning the pin into a rivet. i will try gunzilla or kroil and if that doesn't work...i suppose a "smith" is in...
i think they were both per farris' book
the problem is...i cannot shoot it. with this piston stuck, it will not fire. the pin that is through the piston/plug must be drifted out of the frame. it does not leave much room for any solvent to...
thanks ed - unfortunately it will not function in semi-auto mode so i must get the gas plug out. thanks for the numrich link
