Kroil is the bomb for a solvent. Big 45 Frontier Metal Cleaner and some elbow grease.
Grease the wear surfaces
I've acquired this pistol now. Any additional interest or value appreciated.
Why do you need to deface a US GI receiver. It's not a BM59 that requires machining to convert. That US receiver is getting rare. Maybe look for a CMP "C" that has some pitting. But still a US...
It's reality. Just adds to the confusion. Very profitable for you collectors.
So when can we see this fake sniper up for sale? I bet soon.
Anyone? Legacy Collectibles shot me $350. Grips are deal breaker
Posted this in Pistol thread before I say appraisal section. Sorry fellas.
Anyway was told it could be a bring back trophy and Germans did source these outside normal channels so it most likely...
You mean how high will I go. I'm interested in this for my self. I'm thinking $600 tops. A new trigger housing and assembling has got to be $150 for a non gunsmithing buyer. These carbines are over...
Silly me, I know it was a trigger housing. I just wanted to have a more dramatic reaction to push my agenda to low ball the sale.:surrender:
Found this Mauser pistol. Might be a bring back from WWII serial #796,XXX from fourth series of wartime production around 1943-44. After a little research similar condition commercial pistols where...
Hello, back again with a estate sale find. This STDP M1 Carbine has a Type III RMC bolt, VG bore 12/43 UEF barrel, type IV H.I. hammer, type IV safety, type III mag catch, type I NPM rear sight,...
AP is 163gr
Shot this today. Iron sight two different loads, one with 42.8gr. RL15 the other 40gr. WC846. 5 of each with the Hornady 174gr. .3105" FMJ bullet. :dancingbanana:46181
My report is a fine shooter without the scope. Hand loads shoot 2 MOA with the crude peep site.
Thanks for the feedback fellas. Will keep as assembled with all staked screws. I have assembled some hand loads and no problems keeping them in the black @ 100yds. Now to find a 2.5X scope :banghead:
Just in th last few min I realized that original condition. May not want to chance shooting it to much ether.
Hello. Since I've got my Ishaphore 2A1 this past summer. I've been thinking of this Jap rifle my father in law has had. I received all his firearms except this one after his passing, cause at the...
Top center shot is a different rifle group. I have found with the proper loads these rifles can be quite accurate. Condition and proper setup are the key. Sure some or most of these Ishiphore's are...
Not accurate enough? Whats this then? This Ishy shoots 1 MOA3931839317

Just be suprised
Nice rifle. I received a almost new over sized JLG stock from the CMP in the late 90's for $15. Have it on my WWII Springfield 3,677,xxx.
