I just picked up a rifle with a Century marked Imbel receiver. It bent when I removed It to rebarrel it. Seems very soft. Not at all the quality of my Springfield Armory SAR 48.

I did not buy the AR 5 as it was never offered to me. I would still be very eager to buy it if it were to become available.

I would be very interested in buying the AR-5A if you ever decide to sell it. Is it a short-barreled rifle? C&R?

I look at serial numbers and production figures and I can never figure out why they made so darn many Trapdoors and Krags. The Army had what, 25,000 men? Does anyone know?
