I reverse engineered the Mk. III scope for them and it looks like they chose to ignore a lot of it.
I think ease of manufacture and use what was left from the Mk.1/ II production was the the plan....

Some parts are not included but one of...
The turret rims are about 1/2 the size of a normal 32 turret.
The range drum springs are not sufficient, in my estimation. (I just had one recently on the bench totally stripped down)
