Allen, I recently inadvertently purchased a P14 in a Eddystone 1917 stock. Wanna trade?
Don
I have a P14 stock in the 1917 pattern on one of my P14 Winchesters. No gap in front of the forward action screw, but you can tell from the shape (squared off) of the front 2 corners of the...
Bill - You seem very knowledgeable on these, so I'm hitting you up with another question. Is it totally improper to find a P14 in a 1917 stock, or was it one frequently out of necessity. Kinda...
I have a sub 10K Winchester P14. Has the same MC5, but not sure what it means. Not a ton of "W" markings. Bayo lug, front sight, serial# prefix etc.
Bill - Quite possible as the markings are still very sharp. Can't find edges that have been rounded either. Perfect bores are an indication as these obviously have not been shot/cleaned much. Hoping...
Thanks for all of the great information Bill. Much appreciated. Don
Interesting. Thanks for the info. So one has been rebuilt, one has not. The older 4 digit rifle (blued bolt) has not been. "Newer" 6 digit (bright bolt) has. It has the asterisk on the extractor and...
And some of the wood. Interesting thing - stock only looks roughed in. You can still see the lines from the duplicator. Never finished sanded. only 3 things on the under side - an X a 6 and a 1. See...
OK. Will upload some pictures here of the metal. Wood to follow.
Oh cool. Not at home, but will look. Can't figure out how to upload more pictures. On my iPad at the office. Have many, but few of the wood.
I did not say I did not think they had been arsenal rebuilt, my guess is that they have, just not Weedon. The rear sight serial numbers do not match. No asterisk anywhere. The blurring is way to nice...
Don't know much about these, but I figured Winchester made, PERFECT bores, have not been through Wheedon, one is a 4 digit serial # - the other 6, bolt/barrel/receiver match all in excellent shape...
Hello,
Does anyone know if magazines (type 2 I think they are called) that keep the bolt locked back (open) when empty are authorized for use in the carbine match? Thanks, Don.
Hello,
Great looking place. Glad I found it.
I have an Inland M1 Carbine and have been shooting it quite a bit lately to prep for the Carbine National Match in Camp Perry this summer.
My...
