Hi,
I'd like to offer my William Watson No.32 Mk2 scope for sale and invite offers in GBP, item is located in Scotland. It's in extremely good condition. Serial number is 14699. I have used it on...
I’ve seen the RSM ones and they’re not really good enough to work with, if I was going to go to the bother of annealing then you’re not far off starting from scratch. A sliding head lathe would make...
Does anyone have some spare clicker plates they might be persuaded to part with? I have bought two MK2 scopes which have been scavenged for parts (the clicker plates) but are otherwise reasonable...
Hi Folks,
I'm not a very frequent contributor to this forum but I thought I'd share some findings.
I bought a 1953 vintage No.4 a few years ago which was fitted with a new Criterion barrel...
We'd like to think our fellow competitors are all inline with the rules, but certainly from experience in different circles, there's a few Terry Thomas characters out there!
The rifle in question is a 1943 Long Branch and is all original and has a good bore. But what’s the script for rifles needing new barrels? Must they have 5 grooves and a left hand twist (I’m assuming...
Hi All,
I'm hoping some of you might be able to keep me right. My No.4 needs a fair bit of up pressure at the muzzle to perform and currently I have a few paper shims between the rear of the...
I have 26L4016. 1943 all matching serial numbers. 5 groove barrel. Small repair on butt stock but otherwise in very good order. I don't suppose anyone would have a correct sling for it?
They're generically a 3/16th x 32 tip thread, a lot of the AE Clark and Linx sights used them too. Fultons should have some.

Well I picked up the rifle it's a shooter. Fultons have done a wonderful job on it. I first suspected it was a real hummer when the first five shots fired at the zero range produced a one hole...
Hi All,
I'm picking up my first No.4 tomorrow at Bisley from Fultons. I have a target booked on Century at 200 yards in the afternoon. If anyone is about feel free to pop by and say hello. I'm...
With a capital “s” ?
Peter, Not disagreeing about "putty" as such, however Devon Putty A is a two part Epoxy which sets up hard. I mention this as I'm just not sure if you're familiar with it.
I use it as a bedding...
Just thought I'd post a few pics of the No.32 MKII I've been working on. The work included a full strip down (inc getting the erector cell out / stuck segment problem) inc optic cleaning, new...
Well the segment was picked out bit by bit and the erector cell is out. I made a simple drift on the lathe and gave it one light tap to dislodge. I'm going to make a cast of the segment and a dental...
Peter,
Thanks for your reply, I purchased a copy of your book, are the dimensions for the drift tool contained within it?
I'll keep you posted with my progress.

Why do you say that?
5657, sorry

It comes out of the MKI easily enough but is stuck fast in the MK2. I used as much heat as...
Thanks, I have purchased the pamphlet a few moments ago. It is firmly stuck. Do you know if the assembly should then push out?
The author of the book in the previous replies link?
I'll try and order a copy in any case.
Thanks
Hi All,
I'm a new member to the forum and quite new to historic/vintage rifles having mainly been involved in UK NRA TR and MR disciplines. I'm awaiting the arrival of a No.4 MK2 built by Fultons...
