"...pile of front rings already" Check.
That's a worthwhile experiment. I hate to complicate my routine by adding another aperture, but I might try a larger one in practice. So far, I've only gone the other way: too small an aperture made...
This site has the same instructions as those posted by "ACK" with the added attraction of a picture and dimensioned sketch. HTH

Perhaps the statement above meets the criteria for the definition below:
ad hominem [(ad hom-uh-nem, ad hom-uh-nuhm)]
A Latin expression meaning “to the man.” An ad hominem argument is one that...
Mr Keplar,
As idiotic as it may sound, it never occurred to me to practice dry fire outdoors, in my back yard.
Thanks,
Doug
Thanks to the posters who have commented.
To clarify: I shoot a globe front sight and can hold between the 9 and 10 ring in still conditions. I do "snatch" the shot when my sight picture and take up...
Thanks for the reply,Gunner. I'm not following you when you say:"Shoot out the forehold" ?
Understand that I'm not so much interested in reading the wind at 200 yds but in holding the gun on the...
It may amuse the readers of this thread to hear that the active ingredients in both Brownell's 909 cleaner and OvenOff heavy duty cleaner/degreaser (not the wimpy home grade "odorless" type) is...
Here's the deal: I shoot close to master scores offhand ( 185-190) when It's not blowing and in Colorado that usually works 'cause the wind here doesn't pick up until late morning or afternoon. Last...
The 1st batch of HXP I bought from CMP was headstamped 1972 and shot OK; very much like Lake City available at the time: held the 10 ring off sandbags. I broke the bullet seal on them in a Lee press...
If you are using European made enblocs and GI brass there is a little incompatibility there. Greek HXP brass has 7.62 type extractor groove that is a little taller than the GI 30-06 groove. The Euro...
Very interesting, but fragile looking.
My SS Olympic 1/8 barrel shot under 1 MOA when new; would still almost hold the "X" ring SR target at 4000 rounds and would not hold the 9 ring at 5000 rounds. It was on my High Power gun and was...

I wouldn't worry too much about this one. The sponsor is Bobby Rush who introduces this bill or one like it EVERY year. The bill has no co-sponsors and is unlikely to get any.
Bobby Rush is a...

My company was to rotate back to a FSB every 4 weeks with the other companies in the battalion. That rotation was dependent upon the other 3 companies being "field strength"....
I have found the electronically printed word to be an imperfect medium, for myself as well.
I served with the 1st Cav in III corps mostly: After we got back from Cambodia, our rear was the firebases...
Yes Jim,
That clarifies my misinterpretation of your post. I apologize for my outburst.
Doug
Good job avoiding my question.
I asked if "left behind" is what you ment, as I apparently don't understand what you are trying to say, as in: "...put on the front line and left (as in RVN)."
Doug
What the F!*& do you mean by this statement? I fought with black troops in "RVN" and Cambodia and didn't see any blacks left (what? " left behind"?). What kind of BS have you been sniffing? Reading...
If this were an issue at my club, I would bring it up at the monthly BOD meeting. Each of our ranges has particular rules due to safety concerns and amount of use (and ignorance of the users)....
I use LC once-fired for short range and new, commercial Win at the 600 yd line but I've come to understand that Win brass is the most inconsistent for weight of any of the commercial manufacturers....
This thread is teh funny.
I have an Oly upper that took me from Marksman to Master in about 5000 rounds. Barrel was toast by that time, but I was still shooting Master scores when I had it rebarreled.
No complaints from me.
