Thanks for identifying that piece. The barrel is from my numbers matching MK3. It is on there for mock up/display. I have since bought a L4 barrel from Apex.

That is a rough one. Still looks in fair usable shape though. How's the bore? Have you shot it yet? I got one of these about 5 years ago and it was like brand new. I would restore it.

I just bought one plus a L4 mag and a repo MK1 stock handle. I think I might buy another and put one on my L4A3 and Mk3 Brens. Yours looks like its a good match with the other wood on your Bren.

Yes it came with a bipod. It has adjustable legs and the difference I see is it has a gas deflector shield attached to it that the other MKs didn't.

Getting ready to build a L4A3 parts kit from Sarco and I got a few questions. Where does the piece in the first picture go? Second is, how do you tell the difference between a 303 and 7.62N gas...

Both are cool guns to shoot and own. I've owned the 34 for 2+ years and the 1919 over 3. If I had to pick between the two, I would take the MG34 over the 1919. I should have specified earlier my 1919...
